DISNEY, DUBLIN AND FESTIVAL FUN

As the days get colder and the rain more frequent, I've found myself looking back through photos from the summer. I was lucky to have a very busy few months after finishing my first year of university and had the best time so I thought I'd do a recap of everything I got up to. Festivals I'd never been to a festival before and this year I went to 3! The first was The Isle of Wight Festival which was just amazing and I definitely think it's a festival for everyone to enjoy. We were able to see some amazing artists including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Rudimental, Madness, Shaggy and so many more. I did end up burning myself really badly on the first day, despite frequently applying suncream but that was a small price to pay and I've already planned to go again in 2023!  I also went to Boomtown which is a different kind of experience music wise but was so good to spend time with my boyfriend - Ryan and our friends. Also, the sets were incredible, and the eff

DECEMBER MONTHLY FAVOURITES

I'm desperately trying to hold on to every last bit of Christmas so here are some of the things I loved throughout December and the festive period! I swear it goes by quicker every year?!

Beauty - Now I'm stripping it back to basics here as this month I have been so thankful for my trusty Vaseline lip balms. Now they aren't a new favourite by any means but in the colder months when your lips tend to be drier, a good lip balm is essential and Vaseline is my go to! I love all the scents but I tend to use the Aloe Vera and Rosy Lips most often, I've always got one of them close to hand! Another thing that is always needed during the winter months is hand cream, the Nivia Express Hydration hand cream is great for day to day use, I also have a Ted Baker one that I like as it smells amazing!

T.V/Movies - Moving on to what I've enjoyed watching this year, and I have to say that of course I did spend most of December watching Christmas movies (Elf is my fave) but Christmas is also a time for great tv too! The things I especially looked forward to were the Great British Bake Off specials and The Big Fat Quiz of The Year - food, general knowledge and comedy, some of my favourites things! I'm also excited to watch The Big Fat Quiz of Everything which I believe is on January 12th, give it a watch if you haven't before & you like silly, panel show type quiz things!

Fashion - Okay maybe these don't technically fit in the 'fashion' section but I have loved being able to lounge around in Christmassy pyjama bottoms over December! I already had a few pairs that I switched between and then I received some more for Christmas, all of them are so warm and cosy which is exactly what you need when it's chilly outside and all you want to do is to sit in front of the tv and eat snacks all day!

Food - I could literally lists a million items here as December is literally the month of food, so I've narrowed it down to 5 items that are my absolute go to festive snacks! The first being Jacobs Cheeselets or 'Treeselets', I can go through tubs of these like there's no tomorrow and they are the first thing I buy when the Christmas food goes on the shelves in supermarkets! Equally, I'm also a fan of the tubs of Twiglets too, I know a lot of people hate these but they are the perfect thing to snack on after you've eaten your body weight in chocolate! Speaking of chocolate, I of course could mention a whole host of types but the holy grail of Christmas chocolate has to be Terry's Chocolate Orange. I also love having the Segsations as you can enjoy all the different flavours! Another food item I have thoroughly enjoyed are pigs in blankets - great to snack on and also my favourite part of Christmas Dinner! Lastly, I have to mention trifle as it wouldn't be Christmas without it. For years and years now I have always made a trifle on Christmas Eve and again on New Years Eve so it is something I always look forward to when December comes around!

Other - I didn't know what category to put this in but I always enjoy wrapping presents throughout December, I enjoy making them look neat and can get through it pretty quickly...provided I am something to watch and some snacks close by! Finally, I of course have just loved the whole of December and Christmas in general, it's great to spend time with people and the whole atmosphere is always something that I enjoy and is what makes December my favourite month!

I knew the food section would be the largest, I'd love to know what your favourite festive snacks were over Christmas!

MID-YEAR GOALS

Since we're halfway through the year I thought I'd do some reflecting and wanted to refocus on some goals to work towards for the rest of 2018. I like having something to work towards whether it's more short-term or something that I'd like to improve over time. I've tried to include a range of things so I can target different aspects of my life! Blogging Goals Hit 2000 followers on Twitter - I just hit 1.5k so 2000 is my next goal!
